Wrist Length "Cuff" Gauntlets |

Here is a pair
of over the wrist length plate "gauntlets" (Knights plated hand
protection) which have straps and leather loops to slip over your
own favorite pair of gloves. These were often worn with splinted
vambraces in the early 14th Century for better mobility of the wrist
and in conjunction with the splinted vambraces provided full forearm
protection. Our hand crafted steel gauntlets are great for
display or wear.

These medieval style 3/4 arms are
also constructed from SCA grade polished steel and include fluted
articulated elbows with straps and buckles and point tied vambrace and
rerebraces for improved sizing adjustment. Vambraces and rerebraces
also include period style buckles and straps.

Another classically designed medieval 343/ set of arms and produced in
Italy throughout the 15th century, armour of this type incorporates
large and smooth glancing surfaces in its construction, the theory
being that these rounded surfaces would help to deflect an opponent’s
weapon. The embossed ridges and fluting that typify armour of the
Gothic style are generally absent in Milanese style armour, but that
does not change the functionality of this high quality armour. Crafted
from 16 gauge steel throughout with 14 gauge steel at the elbows.

Jackchains -14 Gauge Steel |

Jack Chains
were an important part of the protective equipment of the medieval
foot soldier who, typically, was not dressed in plate armor but wore a
padded arming jacket (“jack”) to protect his upper body. This was
quite effective in protecting the torso but left the arms vulnerable
to slashing sword cuts. This led to the development of “Jack Chains”,
which were simply multi-jointed steel strips sewn to the outside of
the sleeves of the jacket, from the shoulder to the wrist, and which
often incorporated a dished plate to cover the outside of the elbow.
Modern studies have indicated that these chains prevented up to 80% of
